We spoke with Shaphan Hawks, owner of ASAP Repair, LLC, to learn more about how Service Direct has helped his business for our latest customer spotlight. Q. How were you generating leads prior to using Service Direct?
A. We used a couple of marketing and lead generation services, but Thumbtack and Google Adwords were our primary tools for bringing in leads.

A. We were getting bogged down dealing with the constant frustrations of Google Adword verification and the significant learning curve to mastering the platform. Its unpredictable and inconsistent pricing was taking up too much time and not delivering the results we needed, especially for the time investment we were putting in.
We were looking for a simple solution that would just deliver good leads without all the fuss so that we could focus on our customers.

We no longer have to spend hours trying to perfect our keywords or analyze results. We just set our service area, set our cost per lead, and answer the phone when leads come through. We’re getting high quality leads in our service area and at an affordable price and at a steady rate. You can’t ask for more than that.
Q. Which features/benefits have you found to be the most useful? Did you find a feature particularly useful that was surprising or unexpected?
A. We set our own cost per lead, which makes it easy to keep a lid on costs. Service Direct also lets us pause campaigns if and when we need to, so once we’ve gotten enough leads for a given time, or if we’re too busy to take on more jobs, we can turn off the faucet for a bit, then turn it right back on when we’re ready to start getting calls again.

A. Simply put, Service Direct delivers us the best leads and the highest volume of any of the marketing services we’ve used.
Q. What has been the best part of working with Service Direct?
A. The ease of implementation. It was so easy to get started on the Service Direct platform, and it’s so easy to maintain and manage our account.
After trying some other services and feeling like we needed to be experts in the marketing aspect of them, it’s been such a relief not having to worry about that part of the puzzle. Instead, we can focus on providing great service to the new customers Service Direct sends our way.
